Each of the rooms at your homesite has a unique ID number. With this number, you can easily
access lost edit pages, journal edit forms, style sheet forms, and other pages you can't get to
when your homesite is broken.
Where to Find Your ID number
A. Entrance page Go to your entrance page and mouse over the name of your homesite (i.e. oikos, per, domus, etc.)
which is in the top masthead, next to your family name. Now look down at the browser's status bar
and copy the number that appears there (see image below). That's the ID number of your entrance
page.
Alternatively:
Put your mouse over the name of your homesite in the top masthead.
Right click and choose Properties.
A window will pop up. Copy the number from the address (URL) that appears there.
Other places where you can find your ID number in a worst- case scenario (e.g., if your entrance
page is completely blank):
Boards Central- Look for one of your posts and mouse over your name. See steps 2 & 3
above.
Group Boards - Look for one of your posts on the group's daily index and mouse over
your name. See steps 2 & 3 above.
B. Courtyard/Library/Study Once you have your entrance page number, finding the IDs of your other rooms is a snap. Your
courtyard ID number is equal to your entrance number plus one. Your library ID number is equal to
your entrance number plus two. And so on.
An example:
Let's say that my entrance page ID number is 451330.
My courtyard number would be 451331.
My library number would be 451332.
My study number would be 451333.
