Switching or Creating another Persona

There is no way to either delete created personas or to switch their last names to a new location. But this is not a problem, it just resides here unused should you wish to let it go and does not harm anything. To create a new persona, follow these steps:

  • First step, before creating, choose which last name you wish to use here. In The Orient, each Asian country (we cover so many) has their own list of last names that are appropriate to each. For instance, my last name "Ashoka" is an Indian one, in honor of the great King Asoka. There are last names for China, Burma, Japan, most all of them. The complete list and what names fall where is listed in a table at the very bottom of our Orient Main Page.
  • In the entrance room of your "wasi" (homesite here) at the very top under the masthead will be a set of text links.. "[edit page] [edit stylesheet] [edit background] [edit email preferences] [change password] [switch persona] [subscriber account]" Click on switch persona
  • This will take you to a new screen with all personas you have associated to the email account you used to register with. I have 12 of them LOL quite a few! I rarely use but 3 of them though. At any rate, yours right now will probably just have the one, Sreeni Inca (lovely name by the way). Underneath it will be this; "Create a new Persona -- Claim missing AncientSites Personas "
  • Click on "Create a new persona" This way it will be associated automatically with the same email account and should you wish to play around (and decorate!) in this persona, you can easily switch again from that Swtich Persona link.

This will take you to a new screen where you will again have two fields to enter in, a first name (typed in) and the second field where you choose your last name. If you scroll down you'll see a sub section for every 'world' here in ancient worlds. Go down to Orient and there will be a lengthy list of last names. Enter in that name you chose from list above there. Hit submit query, and whallah! You now have your new Asian persona, naturally residing in any country of your choice.
